#1
Save your current Music Bot Database into a seperate folder. I save mine as musicbot08202006.mdb (depending on the date that I am
saving it)
#2
Download this program from my FTP site. mdbview_10_en.zip
http://www.jesusinme.us/programs/mdbview_10_en.zip
#3
Open the Program mdbview.exe
#4
Click File Open locate and highlight the .mdb file and open it up.
#5
Now you are seeing 4 different tables. (Do Not Touch them) Simply go to
the top menu of the mdbviewer program (beneath the File Window Help
line) See the button CSV? Click it and then click OK
What
you have just done is exported the database information into 4 seperate csv
files. The only file we need now is this one musicbot08202006.mdb
- mysongs.csv You can trash the other 3. and you can even trash
the .mdb file. You are finished with it.
This
is the only file we need.
musicbot08202006.mdb - mysongs.csv
or
whatever date you are currently on.
#6 You
will open this file with Word Perfect Spreadsheet, in order to delete
those last 3 columns. The only columns you need are the 1st TWO. (The two
containing the Song ID numbers & the Song Names)
(I use
Microsoft Word Spreadsheet since that is the program I have. Bill had to use
Word Perfect Spreadsheet on his)
(after
deleting the last 3 columns)
Save
AS txt file
File >
Save As TXT
(I
save mine as BotLib08202006.txt)
After
Saving: Close the Spreadsheet
NOTE:
In the database, The Music Bot Program changes all commas to 6
So
what I do is open up the final TXT file with Notepad and I Replace ALL
6 with a comma.
Find what:
6
Replace with: ,
I also Replace ALL .mp3 with nothing. This will remove the
.mp3 at the end of the song's file name so your library page will look nice
& neat.
Find what:
.mp3 Replace
with: (do not enter anything here, leave it blank)
After
I have gotten the look I want, I save it and copy and paste the whole thing
into another TXT file that I call mysongs.txt
Now
you have a TXT file that you can upload to a web site server for others to view
your library.
I do
the same procedure each time I want to update my library and I simply add the
new additions to my mysongs.txt file
Let me
know if you need any more help on this.
Peace
& Love,
Gary
